The Association is a not-for-profit organisation and is now in its thirteenth year as a membership run professional body. The Company is limited by guarantee and has a volunteer board elected from 9 member companies to head the Association. The Secretariat is a professional outsourced company.
FULL MEMBERSHIP Fees for 2011/12 are £1,750 + VAT there is one free place on any IRLA education day of your choice included in each academy year with corporate membership unlimited employees can claim discounts, attend the association events & be included on the database for news any employee may put themselves forward for a working party or sub-committee there is entitlement to put forward a representative at the AGM to sit on the Board this category has a vote on any proposed changes to the Association
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP Fees for 2011/12 are £525 +VAT companies with 10 or less staff based in the UK, or larger and based overseas, can belong to this category (Sole traders please apply to the office) as a limited corporate membership named employees can claim discounts, attend the association events & be included on the database for news any of the named employees may put themselves forward for a working party or sub-committee there is entitlement to put forward any of the named employees as a representative at the AGM to sit on the Board
For both FULL and ASSOCIATE MEMBERS all members may also claim significant discounts on other, business related, conferences there are text books and trade journals that allow members further discounts – some of which are sold via the office confidential referrals process, matching you with the right experts and suppliers access to IRLA's reference library of text books and learning resources access to Secretariat Services, with specific expertise in the legacy / runoff sector news of recruitment opportunities and summer internships
AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP There is no charge for Affiliate Membership which is determined, upon application, by the Board. Other trade association's and market bodies may apply to the Board for consideration of this honorary membership. Confirmation of acceptance, in any category of membership, shall be subject to fulfilment of the applicable membership criteria, completion and return of an acceptable application form and payment of the appropriate subscription fee laid down from time to time by the Board. Membership of the association begins from receipt of the application and full benefits will follow within 30 days of the invoice, providing it has been paid. The Association in a general meeting may, by vote of three quarters of its voting members and for good reason, terminate the membership of any member forthwith provided that the company or individual concerned shall have the right to be heard at such meeting before a final decision is made.
