Rolf Tolle wins the Insurance Day achiever of the year award ROLF TOLLE was last night named Industry Achiever of the Year at the annual Insurance Day London Market Awards. Now in their eighth year, the Insurance Day Awards recognise innovation, achievement and excellence in this vital sector. A record crowd saw the Lloyd’s franchise performance board director receive the honour at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. In bestowing the award on Tolle the judging panel was keen to recognise his invaluable contribution to the growing strength and reputation of the Lloyd’s brand around the world. Also celebrating at last night’s gala ceremony was Lockton International, which picked up the coveted Company of the Year accolade. This award was recognition of the transition achieved by the company since its acquisition of Alexander Forbes, and its resolution of legacy issues and uncertainties alongside building a new client base, recruiting high-calibre staff and developing new revenue streams. Guy Carpenter’s credit bond and political risk team picked up the Broking Team of the Year award, while Underwriting Team of the Year went to Chubb’s London Independent Broker Team.
