Armour Reinsurance Group Holdings Limited announces the appointment of Katherine Barker as President of its US subsidiary, Armour Risk Management Inc. and group vice president. Armour Risk is the group’s global insurance servicing arm.

Kathy has more than thirty years experience in the claims and run-off fields of the insurance and reinsurance industries. Prior to joining the Armour Group Kathy was the President of PRO IS, Inc - a Swiss Re Group service company where she had responsibility for US based operations in New York and Boston. Prior to joining PRO, Kathy was SVP and Director of Reinsurance Management at a Hartford subsidiary where she was a member of the senior management team that was responsible for the runoff of First State Ins. Co., New England Reinsurance Corp. and Hart Re. During her time at the Hartford Kathy was responsible for commutations, management of reinsurance audits, and reinsurance collections.
