Leena was appointed to the ARC Board in November 2008. She is the Coverholder & Legacy Claims Manager for Brit Insurance, a new role that she began in early 2011. For the year prior to this Leena had her own consultancy which she ran successfully after leaving her previous employment as Business Development Manager of Global General & Reinsurance Services Ltd. She has worked in the reinsurance market for nearly 30 years, originally in Scandinavia and more recently in the UK and has been actively involved in the run-off arena since the late 1980’s. During this period she has gathered a wealth of experience from technical to run-off management, commutations, litigation and arbitration management as well as APH and other contentious issues. Her work has included the restructuring of business’ from the active environment to run-off, as well as formulating and putting into action successful pro-active run-off and commutation programmes for several companies. |
