Image IEI, a division of AMS (Reinsurance) Services Ltd. are the 2008/9 organisers of the Academy programme

The ARC academy was set up in the summer of 2005 for the dual purpose of providing cost effective and relevant training courses to the membership of the Association. All such courses count towards Continuing Professional Development.

The chair of the Academy, currently Bill Bower FCII, commit a large amount of their own time to the running of the Academy for which the Board are extremely grateful. A recent ARC survey reflected that when a company made the move from live operation to legacy management staff training and career opportunities were often put onto the back seat due to financial and resource constraints.

Therefore the ARC membership, using the combined facility allowed by the association, tried an approach that worked within the new financial constraints and addressed areas where staff may require new, or revised, skills. This then was the formation of the Academy.

Academy speakers, are all volunteers and come from a wide range of service providers relevant to the legacy market. ARC, as ever, are grateful to them for their time and support in this ongoing, and growing, programme.

ImageEffective from 1st October 2007, ARC, through use of a CII CPD Accreditation licence,
are permitted to 'self-certify' their events against the CII CPD Accreditation standards.
CII CPD accreditation is only used for events which are insurance/financial services
related and a sufficiently high standard to contribute to CII members' CPD.
