The Board consists of eight members, four of whom hold the positions of Chair, Academy Chair, Treasurer and Company Secretary. There are 4 other directors of the Association.

The Board is made up of volunteers who are selected by member vote whenever a vacancy has been created. Otherwise, at each AGM, three step down in rotation and members are voted in to serve a three-year term.  All members are able to stand as a vacancy occurs.

The Board arranges forums, presentations, sits on other market committees and participates in market activities to the benefit of the membership. At this time, only certain administration costs are paid as well as limited travel and subsistence and all work by the Board is carried out voluntarily.
