For those of you away last week  a quick reminder of your last chance to book for two big events next week.

On Wednesday 10th June 2009 the ARC Forum takes place in Norwich at 11am as part of the Cavell Rendez-Vous. The Leavers Buffet, sponsored by Global & General Re and ReSys from Finland, has been arranged for Rendez-Vous attendees who have signed up for the Cavell event. You may leave the ARC Forum and go directly to this buffet if you are registered at the Rendez-Vous but not otherwise.

This is a new and additional event set up in respect of the member survey.

Presentations to include:

  • Andy Ward (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) with an update on Solvency II - what stage is it at; what happens next, and what is the impact to run-off carriers? ARC, via Paul Corver, will be outlining a possible iniative in this regard.
  • Mark Everiss / Richard Hopley (EAPD LLP) address the question 'where are we with the asbestos EL trigger litigation?' As well as 'What is the likely outcome of the insurers' challenge to the Scottish Parliament overturning the decision of the House of Lords on pleural plaques and can we expect to see some action in this area in England & Wales? What are the implications for the London insurance and reinsurance Market?  

Assisting on the panel, in addition to Paul Corver, will be Rhydian Williams (RI-Solve) providing his usual insightful observations on these matters and other topical subjects.
