The Forum will take place Wednesday 10 June 2009 at The Playhouse beginning at 11.00 and will finish before the Rendezvous luncheon sponsored by Global General & Re in the Playhouse bar area.

The Forum will combine presentations on two hot topics for the industry outlined below, as well as an opportunity for attendees to debate these two matters and raise questions for the speakers on other topical matters affecting the legacy sector. Presentations include:

• Andy Ward (PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) providing an update on Solvency II - what stage is it at; what happens next, and what is the impact to run-off carriers? ARC, via Paul Corver, will be outlining a possible iniative in this regard.
• Mark Everiss / Richard Hopley (EAPD LLP) address the question 'where are we with the asbestos EL trigger litigation?' As well as 'What is the likely outcome of the insurers' challenge to the Scottish Parliament overturning the decision of the House of Lords on pleural plaques and can we expect to see some action in this area in England & Wales? What are the implications for the London insurance and reinsurance Market?  

Assisting on the panel will be Rhydian Williams (RI-Solve) providing his usual insightful observations on these matters and other topical subjects.
