After the Deluge  -  Riding out choppy seas

The challenges facing the international insurance and financial markets and the question of how legacy managers can help risk carriers to navigate what for many will be unchartered waters will be the key focus of this year’s ARC Congress.

A radically different programme for today’s radically different markets, the 2009 Congress and Convention will have repeat breakout presentations spread over the two days, so creating a more flexible format that better place delegates to get the most out of the learning and networking opportunities of the annual gathering. In addition to improved timetable flexibility, networking enhancements include increased availability of free meeting areas and the Congress Closing Night Dinner.

ARC Congress 2009 seminar sessions include:

  • Brave New World – the rise of electronic trading and how it will affect legacy management
  • Capital modelling – legacy’s latest tool
  • Corporate insolvency – threat or opportunity?
  • Maximising assets when capital is scarce – reinsurance collection strategies and cash management techniques
  • Allocation –  twenty years on “all sums” still haunts insurers and is now being litigated between cedants and reinsurer. Where do you stand in the debate?

Registration is now open and places are available for the full two day programme, Day One lunch, receptions and the Day Two Dinner. However, interest is high and bookings are coming in fast, so don’t delay if you want to be sure of a place.

Full programme details are now available (please click here), as is a list of 2008 delegates. A list of all those who have registered for the 2009 Congress can also be found by following this link.

The venue is open for networking both days and seating areas can be found all around the Hall.  There is no charge, and consequently no booking fee, for these areas. During breakout sessions certain rooms will be closed to ensure  speakers are not interrupted but refreshments stands, business centre and seating areas will remain  fully accessible

Please call us if you have any questions otherwise we look forward to seeing you there.
