The Market Reform Group approved the recommendations of the MRSG Legacy Sub-group, principally that legacy claims may be handled via Electronic Claim File subject to mutual agreement between brokers and insurers and in accordance with approved guidelines.

As part of ARC's activities on your behalf we attend various bureaux and market committees and one such group is the Electronic Claim File User Group(ECFUG) which has recently been addressing the issue of handling Legacy Claims via an ECF and the written procedures for this.

The appropriate guidelines have now been finalised and the relevant changes made to the System Processes and Procedure manuals. These can be found on the MRO website by clicking here
